Brandy XO 20yrs (Hors D'Age Superior)

Heritage. Memory. A new beginning — captured in a bottle.

The story of this exceptional brandy began in 2005, when a fire destroyed one of the buildings at our winery. The roof structure burned down completely. Only one tank in the room remained intact, holding a 2003 Hárslevelű. Standing between loss and rebuilding, we decided not to let the surviving wine go, but to give it a new life: distil it and let time have the final word.

It was placed in three oak barrels and rested quietly for 20 years. Over the decades, the barrels “breathed”, and alcohol and water slowly evaporated — becoming the angels’ share — while the spirit grew deeper, nobler and rounder with every passing month.

 

What enters the bottle today is more than a drink: it is a story the fire tried to stop, but time brought to completion.
