TWO DECADES
TWO LEGACIES

XO and T20

Brandy XO
Hors d'Age Superior

Heritage. Memory. A new beginning—sealed in a bottle.

The story of this special brandy began in 2005, when a fire swept through one of our winery buildings. The roof structure was completely destroyed. In that room, only one tank remained intact: inside it, a 2003 vintage Hárslevelű. Standing between loss and rebuilding, we decided not to let the surviving wine go, but to give it a new life—distil it, and let time do the talking.

It was filled into three oak barrels and rested in silence for 20 years. Over the decades, the barrels “breathed”; alcohol and water slowly evaporated—becoming the angels’ share—while the spirit grew deeper, nobler, and rounder with every passing month.

What goes into the bottle today is more than a drink: it is a story that fire tried to stop, but time finished.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: deep, polished amber with golden flashes, forming slow, thick legs on the glass.

Nose: on the first breath, orange peel, candied apricot, and dried flowers—a subtle nod to the Hárslevelű grape. In the background: vanilla and toasted almond, then beeswax, cigar box, a touch of cedar, and black tea. With time in the glass, gingerbread spices and dried chamomile emerge.

Palate: full, silky, and long-flowing. Dried apricot, date, caramelised apple; oak brings vanilla, cocoa nib, and a delicate bittersweet dark-chocolate edge. Mid-palate shows walnut shell, toasted hazelnut, cedar, followed by an orange-oil finish.

Finish: very long, clean, and dry with elegant poise; a spicy, tea-like aftertaste with a faint return of honeyed floral notes.

Grape Spirit (Pálinka) T20
Ördögárok Vineyard

The Ördögárok vineyard is one of the estate’s finest sites—a turning point in our story. In 2005, after the first harvest, we set aside the marc from the vineyard alongside our young red wines. We didn’t forget it: we distilled it and then sealed it away in oak barrels. This is how the journey of T20 began.

The spirit rested in silence for 20 years. The barrels breathed, alcohol and water slowly evaporated—the angels’ share became almost half—while the character grew denser, smoother, and more refined. What goes into the bottle today is a silky imprint of a vineyard’s birth.
