Discover the Wonders of the Villány Wine Region on the Wine and Valley Program

A Special Experience in Villány

When I started to plan the program, I noticed that many guests come to Villány for two or three days. Many would like to experience something more substantial than an evening wine tasting. It would be nice to get out during the day, go out into the vineyards, see the landscape, talk about wines, and understand a little better what makes this wine region so special.

That's why I came up with the Saturday morning Wine and Valley program.

The program runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., which is exactly the time when the estate is not yet operating in the rhythm of afternoon catering. At this time, it is not that I am running between many tables and trying to tell everyone about the wines individually. These four hours are really just for the participants.

You can ask questions, you can talk, you can slow down. We're not in a hurry.

Discover the Vineyards

During Wine and Valley, we also go up to the Ördögárok vineyard, where the landscape behind the wines becomes much more understandable. It's quite different to taste a Villány wine while seeing where the grapes come from, how steep the rows are, what the view is like, and what kind of work goes into making each bottle.

The program also includes an 8-course wine tasting, with water and coffee of course. During the tasting, we will go through the estate's wines, moving from lighter varieties to more serious reds.

Tastes and Experiences

And at the end we sit down to a really good, homemade roast dish. Confit roasts, matching side dishes, in a form that I think befits a Villány wine experience: abundantly, with love, not overly complicated, but with a lot of attention. And the closing is Anuska's homemade strudel, which I don't think needs much explanation. Anyone who has tasted it knows.

Wine and Valley is important to me because it really brings together everything we want to show about the estate: wine, vineyard, family hospitality, food, conversation, slowing down during the day, and the atmosphere of Villány.

Why is it worth participating?

Not just a wine tasting. More like a morning at our place where you can get a little closer to how we see this region. The experience is not just about the wines, but also about the shared moments we can have together.

The program costs 25,000 HUF per person, and I trust it will be worth it. Please let me know what you think about it!
